As you can probably tell from my older posts I love abandoned buildings. But nothing is more exciting to me than old barns. I love the hunt to find these old places and I love to go in them and explore. I have found so many unique things from old cars, to old tools, to wild animals!
Barns are a way of life here in the Midwest, and sadly many of them have gone to the wayside. My hope is to share their beauty and perhaps get others out there to see these majestic buildings.

I agree there is such a beauty in the rustic look of old barns.
I just love old barns too! My grandparents moved around a lot and were the fix and flip type with their houses. they often moved into old farm houses with barns and I just loved going and seeing what was left behind and playing in them when I was a kid.
One of the best things about driving across country is the site of the rustic buildings!
I love old barns too Love the last photo that one has so much character
I know what you mean, going in a derelict buildings is a little adventure. Recently we went exploring in an old house and discovered these lovely old tiles. Old Spanish Andalusian style. (I live in southern Spain) It's kind of sad to go in a ruined building. It was such a beautiful house too.
I love your photos by the way!
You are so making me wish I still lived in the country, although with my husbands job I do get to see alot of them on certain days in our travels. It brings back memories of the farm I grew up on and the barn that stood on my grandparents property :)
Your photos are simply fabulous! You really capture the rustic, rich look of those beautiful barns!
Great photograhpy!
I LOVE old barn too! There's just something about their character that calls to me every time I see one!
I find old barns hold a beauty of their own, too. There are so many dilapidated old barns around Texas - old houses, too. They send my mind spinning about what their history must be...
Oh, I am a new follower :-)
uniquecozytreasures- Bill, I just love old barn too. I try to photograph as many as possible here in rural Iowa before they are all gone. Love your photos.
wow, great photos and story. i have never been to a barn, but i just might now!
I LOVE old barns. We live in Amish country & in the "boondocks" as I call it...they are everywhere. One of my friends tore down an old barn and used all the wood to make their home...sounds wrong & yet ugly, but it is so BEAUTIFUL inside their home with all the old barn wood for walls & flooring.
Great pics, it's too bad many of them are in such disrepair.
Congrats on your sale in the T yesterday.
I love vintage places.
